Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife. National parks like Eravikulam and Periyar, plus Wayanad and other sanctuaries, are home to elephants, langur monkeys and tigers.

Today, proceed on a sightseeing tour of Munnar including visit to places like Rose Garden and the Tata Tea Museum (Closed on Mondays. Timing 1000hrs to 1700hrs). After lunch, visit Echo Point and Mattupetty Lake. Overnight in Munnar. |
| Day 4 | Today, proceed to Thekkady, en-route enjoy a Spice Plantation tour, where in you will be acquainted with numerous spices and plants of various types. On arrival, check into your hotel. Proceed to Periyar wildlife sanctuary for a boat ride. Overnight in Thekkady. |
| Day 5 | The morning drive to the idyllic backwaters of Alleppey and check into the resort. Overnight in Alleppey. |
